KU Professor Michael Krueger works in a variety of media including, painting, animation, and ceramics. His artwork reflects history, contemporary culture, and the human experience. Solo and group exhibits have been in such cities as New York, Boston, Berkeley, Glasgow, and Malmo in Sweden, plus the Denver Museum and Cleveland Museum. His grants, fellowships, and residency include the Lighton International Exchange, Elizabeth Foundation in New York City, and a Belgium residency. Michael created animations for the Drop City film, which has screened in museums in New York, Amsterdam, Denver, Minneapolis, and at the Nelson Atkins. http://michaelkrueger.us/

KCAI Professor Julie Farstad’s watercolor, ink and mixed media paintings explore seeing her children interact with the world around them. Her work has been represented and shown at ZG Gallery and Zolla/Lieberman Gallery in Chicago, Byron Cohen Gallery in Kansas City and Ricco Maresca Gallery in New York. Julie’s been an artist in residence at Studios Inc in Kansas City MO, and shown at the National Museum for Women in the Arts in Washington DC. She is the Chair of the Painting Department at KCAI, and has been the recipient of numerous faculty development grants. http://www.juliefarstad.com/
