Thur., Oct. 29th 7-8pm on Zoom // Get tickets >>
Join GUILDit for an evening of spooky stories, raffle giveaways, and help support arts entrepreneurship. Tickets start at $10.
Two epic tales of death and greed, from Africa and Europe, by two nationally known Kansas City storytellers.
– First Br. John will command the African folktale of “How Death Came To Mankind” that tells of Anansi, the original Spider-Man, who is up to his old tricks and greedy persuasions. This time his selfish antics lures the mysterious Mr. Death, who seeks revenge.
– Then Joyce Slater will spin “Mr. Fox”, an adaptation from William Shakespeare’s humorous ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ adapted by another Englishmen’s Joseph Jacobs. Mr. Fox is a man of many sides, one of which engages Lady Mary. Will she learn the harsh truth of Mr. Fox and his castle in time?
A raffle of delightful prizes is during intermission with MC Joseph Johnson, Kansas City Entertainer and Entertainment Lawyer.
