Gary Abbott, Talks on 11/10 @ ArtsBar

UMKC Professor Gary Abbott has danced for companies in Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Denver. He has choreographed for companies in Denver, Cleveland, and Gillette, WY. Gary co-founded Deeply Rooted Dance Theater in 1995. The company’s mission to re-imagine contemporary dance by bringing together modern, classical and African-American traditions. Deeply Rooted Dance Theater was the first American Dance company to be invited to the prestigious “Jomba Dance Experience” in Durbin, South Africa. Gary has been privileged to teach classes and workshops in New York City, Atlanta, Austria, Bulgaria, and China.
