Let’s talk art entrepreneurship. What is currently happening in KC and beyond that is helping art businesses grow? What do you want to see happen in KC that will spur more growth? How can GUILDit and other organizations help further artists and the KC art economy?
This is our last bash at the ArtsBar, as GUILDit is expanding its programming. Come tell us how we can best serve you in our forums at the Kemper, plus with other educational, networking and outreach opportunities.

- Brett Reif, sculpture/installations –- Brett has had solo exhibitions in Kansas City and New Orleans and has lectured in the Midwest and Eastcoast. For 14 years he was a Foundation’s professor at the Kansas City Art Institute and he is currently a resident artists at Studios Inc. brettreif.com
- Sheri Hall, poet/author –- Sheri is a National Poetry Slam champion. She has performed at Rev. Al Sharpton’s National Action Network, the Missouri State Capital, and the Nelson-Atkins. Sheri hosts the ‘Gospel of Poets’ radio show and has just released the book ‘Black Girl Shattered’. spokenpurpose.com
- Meagan Flynn, actress/filmmaker –- Meagan can be seen in the Oscar-nominated film “Up in the Air”, independent films and national commercials. She is an award-winning producer for the national web series, “The Unreal Housewives of Kansas City”.
