- GUILDit Alums Heidi Van, Heinrich Toh, Glenn North and Meagan Flynn took part in our first 1 Million Cups presentation, with 200 attending.
- Hosting Star Wars writer Jason Aaron and Star Trek filmmaker Bruce Branit at the KC Public Library.
- Jason Pollen, former professor of the Pratt Institute in NYC, Royal College of Art in London, and the Kansas City Art Institute, proclaiming, “Being an artist is not for sissies!” during his biz presentation.
- The young Matchsellers Folk duo receiving excellent mentoring from season musicians Kelly and Diana Werts during their Q&A session.
- Black Rep’s Founder Damron Armstrong receiving expert advice on nonprofit budgeting and local grants available for his startup organization.
- A wonderful write-up in KC Studio on ‘ GUILDit: Nurturing the Kansas City Arts Scene‘.
- Being in the amazing space of the Kemper Museum for 2017 and we will again be there for 2018 too.
